Why Support Groups?

Both at MaleSurvivor and MenThriving we have discussed live and local support groups. One member here asked WHY WE NEED SUPPORT GROUPS? What do they do for us? Can we heal without them.

  1. God bless you Robbie and may He grant you healing and restoration.
I am developing a site of recovery pages
    steps and processes
with some links to ministries which may assist.

for too long we have not been understood

but our prayers are being answered
and God is releasing insights and raising up ministries.

    He is restoring my soul

may we and our fellow survivors find streams of fresh water (Psalm 23) and see Him restore our souls

  2. Hi Robbie
Bless you for your work that you are doing to create awareness around the “Dirty Secret” of CSA
I feel that live groups are important. Men cannot have interaction over the web, it is to impersonal. The ability to look into a survivors eyes and see the pain that he endured, and know that you have had the same experience makes it more ‘real’ than simply typing and sending a mail into the great big ‘cloud’ Keep up the hard work, and blessings from Africa Bona
